오늘은 거기에 CM으로 사용되었던 킴 칸스의 베티 데이비스 아이스를 소개한다. 특히 도입부가 매력적이다.

이 곡은 1981년 3월에 발매되었다. 1981년 빌보드 핫 100 연말 차트에서 1위, 1958년~2018년 빌보드 핫 100 올타임 차트에선 17위에 올랐다.
이 곡은 베티 데이비스 같은 큰 눈을 가진 여자에 대한 노래다.
루스 엘리자베스 "베트" 데이비스(1908년 4월 5일 – 1989년 10월 6일)는 미국의 영화, 텔레비전, 연극 배우였습니다. 할리우드 역사상 가장 위대한 여배우 중 한 명으로 여겨지는 그녀는 동정심 없고 냉소적인 캐릭터를 기꺼이 연기하는 것으로 유명했으며, 현대 범죄 멜로드라마부터 역사 및 시대 영화, 비정기 코미디에 이르기까지 다양한 영화 장르에서 연기한 것으로 유명했습니다. 그녀의 가장 큰 성공은 로맨틱 드라마에서의 역할이었습니다. 그녀는 아카데미 여우주연상을 두 번이나 수상했고, 아카데미상 연기 부문에서 10개 부문 후보에 오른 최초의 사람이었으며, 미국 영화 연구소(American Film Institute)로부터 평생 공로상을 받은 최초의 여성이었습니다. 1999년 데이비스는 미국영화연구소(American Film Institute)가 선정한 고전 할리우드 영화계 최고의 여성 스타 목록에서 2위를 차지했습니다.
참고로 베티 본인은 자기를 다시 각인시킨 곡이라고 자필로 작곡자와 킴 칸스에게 편지를 보냈을 정도로 이 곡을 정말 좋아했다고 한다. 손자도 자길 존경하게 만든 곡이라고 한다. 그 이후 손자가 그래미상 수상 당시 장미 화환을 보냈다고 한다.
1990년 한국 가수 박영미의 ‘나는 외로움 그대는 그리움‘ 이란 노래의 도입부와 상당히 비슷하다. 하지만 이 곡을 샘플링을 한 것인지는 알려지지 않았다.
